The Bachelorette Party!
Friday night my girlfriends threw me a bachelorette party. We had an awesome time! We had dinner at Chelino’s downtown then went on a scavenger hunt. At the end of the night we met up with the guys, who were having a bachelor party for David. Here are a few pictures from the night:
Thank you ladies for an amazing time! Love you all!
One Week!!!
I don’t even know where to BEGIN! One week from today I will become Mrs. April Tarver. The feelings and emotions I am experiencing are unbelievable!
To my future husband- Words cannot express how happy you make me. You make me feel so very special. I am so proud of you, and the Spiritual leader you are. I cannot WAIT to begin our lives together as husband and wife. I know God has some amazing things in store for us and am so excited to see what they are. I promise to ALWAYS put God first and you second. I look forward to serving beside you for the rest of our lives. I love you more than you’ll ever know! (Gotta stop or I’m going to start crying!)
As far as the wedding, we’ve just got a few (small) things to get done. My goal is so get those done this weekend so next week we can both TRY to relax…and enjoy it, of course.
Tonight my girlfriends are taking me out for my bachlorette party. And the guys are taking David out for his bachlor party. We are SO super stoked (yes, I said stoked)! And we are so thankful that each one of them is in our lives. There are no other friends we’d rather do life with.
God’s Plan…Like a GPS?
This weekend we went to the church of the pastor who is going to marry us. He referenced the verse in Proverbs 14:12 that says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” He began to tell a story…
His son just recently bought him and his wife a GPS (Global Positioning System). They were using it a while back and had entered where they were going. As they were approaching an intersection to get onto the highway, the GPS told him to turn left. “How can that be?”, he said. “I know the right way to get onto the highway and it is NOT going left. We need to go right.” Yup, just like a man I thought. His wife responded by saying maybe they should follow what the GPS says and if it’s not the right way they can always turn around. So he turned left like the GPS instructed and sure enough, the road curved around and ended up going the direction they needed to go…it just didn’t appear that way.
How true is that of our lives? How often do we THINK we know the right way but in fact, it’s not? It made me think of how a GPS responds when you do turn the wrong way. It starts yelling (ok, not yelling but it feels that way) RECALCULATING…RECALCULATING…and continues until you go the correct way. If only we would follow the route God has mapped out for us, we wouldn’t be detouring and turning around so much. It all seems to go back to faith. Why are we so unwilling sometimes to trust that God has the best route mapped out for us? Any thoughts?
Engagement Pictures
David and I had our engagement pictures taken the other night by Leslie, Courtni’s sister. We had such a great time and they turned out SO good. Thanks Leslie! Here are just a few (I could really post a ton):

Recent Convo with David
Here is a recent conversation between David and me…
Me: Lately my left arm has been really sore.
David: Wonder why.
Me: I thought maybe I had slept on it wrong but then I realized it’s this ROCK on my finger!
David: {Big Grin!}
I got quite a kick out of this.
Should We Dust?
Monday evening I was cooking dinner and looked at the kitchen table and saw this…IN DUST! Yikes!
Cute but really gross!
